What are the new category III codes effective as of 2026?
For 2026, three new Category III codes were added for electronically analyzing implanted sub-scalp continuous bilateral electroencephalography monitoring systems for ambulatory use. Code 1004T is for the electronic analysis only (no programming), while codes 1005T and 1006T include both the analysis and programming of the system.
