Question:

Can extremity angiography codes 75710 and 75716 be assigned for selective and non-selective imaging?

Answer:

Yes, these codes do not specify “selective” in the descriptions so they may be assigned for selective or non-selective imaging. These codes do specify whether the imaging performed was unilateral or bilateral, so be careful when assigning these codes to not fragment and code for two unilateral procedures when both legs are imaged. If both legs are imaged, 75716 should be assigned with the appropriate catheterization code(s).
