She is an expert in technology adoption and assisting providers navigate their journeys in areas such as artificial intelligence, clinical documentation, risk adjustment, and EHR optimization. A polished presenter, author, and industry thought leader, she holds two US patents in clinical rules logic for a market-leading AI CDI technology. A proponent of education, she has recently managed the development of an AAPC certified Risk Adjustment Coding Training Academy, in addition to a proprietary learning management platform with trademarked clinical content for practitioners and providers. Her teams have performed risk adjustment coding and CDI for multiple acute care hospitals, clinics, ACO’s, Managed Care Organizations and AI technology solutions vendors. She is passionate about empowering healthcare organizations to optimize their quality, efficiency, and profitability, whether they are in primarily fee for service or alternative payment arrangements. Michelle currently serves as System Director of Clinical Documentation Integrity at Hospital Sisters Health System, an IDN based in Illinois and Wisconsin.
