Outpatient Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) is fraught with challenges that can significantly impact patient care, compliance, and reimbursement. The need for accurate, complete, and compliant documentation is more critical now than ever, yet outpatient settings often struggle with inconsistencies, variability in clinical practices, and the underutilization of Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) and technology. The increasing complexity of patient cases, coupled with frequent regulatory updates, further complicates the documentation process, leading to potential errors in coding, missed opportunities for risk adjustment, and financial penalties.
Join expert Angela Comfort, MBA, RHIA, CDIP, CCS, CCS-P, as she offers practical strategies and tools to enhance documentation, improve accuracy, consistency, and timeliness, and avoid common pitfalls. Angela will teach you how to improve the accuracy and completeness of patient records, incorporate Social Determinants of Health (SDOH), and utilize advanced EHR features. She will also offer insights into mastering complex clinical narratives, implementing accurate risk adjustment and HCC coding, and staying compliant with evolving regulations. By attending, you’ll gain practical tools to support better patient care, optimize reimbursement, and ensure documentation accuracy and compliance.
