So many details, so little time to prepare: That pretty much sums up the 2025 Inpatient Prospective Payment System (IPPS) Final Rule, which takes effect Oct. 1, 2024. To protect your revenues and compliance, you’ll need a clear understanding of crucial changes to the Medicare Severity Diagnosis Related Group (MS-DRG) methodology, as well as new technology add-on payments (NTAPs) and Medicare code edits (MCEs). At a time of heightened financial uncertainty and compliance risks, your preparation should also include acquiring a keen awareness of how your organization will be affected by all the changes and the action steps you must take to get ready.
At ICD10monitor we continue to make sure you’re fully prepared. This third session in our 2025 IPPS Masterclass will feature a review of FY24 changes in MS-DRGs, MS-DRG shifts, MCEs and NTAP items. As in previous years, senior healthcare consultant Laurie Johnson will lead this discussion.
CDI bonus! We’re bringing in one of the country’s most respected CDI subject matter experts to provide insights and analysis. Joining us for this webcast is Dr. Erica Remer, founder and President of Erica Remer, MD, and the co-host of Talk Ten Tuesdays. Dr. Remer provides critical CDI and clinical context to make sure you understand what all the changes mean and what you need to do before Oct. 1. PLUS, the webcast will be interactive — giving you an opportunity to get expert answers to your questions.
The more thoroughly you prepare for implementation of the 2025 IPPS Final Rule, the better positioned you’ll be to achieve consistently accurate coding when Oct. 1 arrives — and the greater the likelihood that you’ll receive the full legal reimbursement for services rendered. Thanks to the expert insights and analysis built into this ICD10monitor webcast, you’ll take away much more than basic knowledge of what the changes are; you’ll also gain a clear comprehension of the everyday impacts and how to achieve optimal coding in the coming year.
