Question:

When will CMS make a decision about whether to go ahead with the new, but inadequate, CLFS rates?

Answer:

Apparently, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will go ahead and implement the rates on January 1, 2018 as it recently posted them (and other supporting documentation) at the following website: https://www.cms.gov/Medicare/Medicare-Fee-for-Service-Payment/ClinicalLabFeeSched/PAMA-Regulations.html. With everything that is CMS, there could be future changes so “wait and see” may be the best attitude to take.
