Question:

When do we report code 50706?

Answer:

Code 50706 is an add-on code for dilation of a ureteral stricture. This code includes imaging guidance for the balloon dilation, supervision, and interpretation. It may be reported once per ureter per day. It does not include access, diagnostic studies, or other therapeutic procedures; report additional codes 50382–50389, 50430–50437, 50684–50695, or 51610 as appropriate.
