Question:

Is it true that codes 92921, 92925, 92929, 92934, 92938, 92944 will no longer be effective next year?

Answer:

As of 2026, the add-on coronary intervention codes (92921, 92925, 92929, 92934, 92938, 92944) have been deleted. CPT® now defines each major coronary artery territory (Left Anterior Descending [LAD], Left Circumflex [LCX], and Right Coronary Artery [RCA]) with its own standalone base codes for reporting coronary interventions, regardless of the number of lesions treated within that territory.
